Listing Your Vacation Rental

You can click on “Rental Listings” in the top menu and look at the map or enter information in the search bar.

You can click on a listing to see more detailed information such as the number of bedrooms, price and availability.

Once you find the property you are looking for you can fill out the rent form. This will send a message to the owner and they will get in touch with you. You and the owner then agree on the specific terms and make arrangements for payment.

  3. Read any rental provisions, terms and conditions.
  4. Request to book your rental. Include your questions about payment.
  5. Wait for reply from owner.
  6. Make your arrangements with the owner.
  7. ENJOY YOUR VACATION

This will mostly depend on the owner. Please contact the owner directly. All arrangements including payments are made directly with the owner.

The monetary transaction is entirely, exclusively and directly between the owner and renter. Once you book your rental you need to contact the owner to set up the payment.

In a word – NO. This site is just like classified ads, except only members of ’79 can use the site. Any problems with your transaction or vacation should be taken up with the property owner.

Yes. We will not share your listing information or your registration information with anyone outside of the site. In fact we have taken steps to ensure that Google and other search engines do not “crawl” this site.

You can list pretty much anything, from a single room in NYC to a Villa on the Mediterranean, camper van to a timeshare…

Step 1 – Click on your name at the top of the page and then click on the “Add New Listing”

Steps 2 through … – You need to fill out the information appropriate for your rental. Try to include as much information as possible. This will keep you from getting lots of questions.

Next step – Make sure your contact information is correct. This is how renters will get in touch with you.

Ongoing steps – You should make sure that you availability calendar is up to date.

Whatever you want to work out with the renter.  You could use Venmo, Paypal, cash (though that could be difficult), or even barter or trade.

Whenever you want to make it available.  You can create a calendar of availability that prospective renters can view.

You are paid DIRECTLY by the renter.  The site does not participate in any money exchange.  You need to make arrangements directly with the renter.

No, This site does not charge any transaction fee on the rental process. Any money you receive for the rental is 100% yours.

Yes. When you set up your rental you can list any additional and optional fees, such as cleaning fees.

Certainly. If you want you can set different rates for holidays or weekends.

Yes, when you set up your rental you can set up parameters such as minimum number of nights.

It is your property and you set the rules.  You can specify things like No Smoking or No Pets.

While there is no requirement for pictures, it will certainly help potential renters to decide if they want to choose your property.

It is your rental.  If there is an emergency or a “force majeure” and you need to cancel a booking, contact the renter ASAP. As you know they may have made other purchases (tickets and such) and the cancellation will impact their plans.
